Pinch me. The prestigious literary journal, The New York Review of Books, has just reviewed my soon-to-be-released book, The Great Penguin Rescue: 40,000 Penguins, a Devastating Oil Spill, and the Inspiring Story of the World’s Largest Animal Rescue in their October 28, 2010 issue. The review, titled Save a Penguin If You Can, was written by Tim Flannery, Panasonic Professor of Environmental Sustainability at Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia, and author of Now or Never: Why We Must Act Now to End Climate Change and Create a Sustainable Future. Professor Flannery offers a very detailed and comprehensive synopsis of the book, so you might want to kick off your shoes and grab a glass of wine before sitting down to read it.
Simon & Schuster’s imprint Free Press will release The Great Penguin Rescue on Tuesday, October 26, 2010. It is currently available for pre-order through my website (www.thepenguinlady.com) and wherever books are sold. Here again, is a link to the NYRB review: Save a Penguin If You Can Thank you Mr. Flannery!
